The Night Tourist by Katherine Marsh

If you like anything supernatural, you'll enjoy this book.  I would say it's pretty mild compared to some of the other supernatural books I've read, but it was still good.  Definitely a good one to suggest for a quick read.  It was slow at first but once it got going I really wanted to finish it to find out what happens.  You meet Jack in the beginning, who lives with his archeologist dad who is always working.  His mother died years ago and his life has been shattered ever since.  He accidentaly gets hit by a car and can all of a sudden see and hear ghosts.  His father sends him to see a Doctor in New York because he's been acting "strange".  But while in New York, Jack meets a ghost named Euri.  She takes him on a journey to the New York underworld and Jack decideds to set out to find his mother.  Euri and Jack have all kinds of adventures while searching for Anastasia, Jacks mom all the while evading Cerberus.  Jack finds out that there's a chance he can take Euri back to the living world with him and that they have a deadline.  There's SO much more to this story that I want to tell you, but of course I'm NOT!!!  That would give away the story and I strongly believe in NOT doing that!  But I would definitely say it was a good read.  I got attached to Jack and Euri and was hoping the whole entire time that they would become something more than friends and survive their adventure together to get back to the living world.  Couldn't wait to get to the end to find out!  Happy Reading!=)
